Exceptional time Satuday at an event that I will never forget. It was a party that came to a meaningful halt for all of us to focus on the most important things in our lives... our family and dear friends. Thanks so much Jay Mills of Jay's Valet Parking, Luxury Transportation & Pedicab Services for organizing... AND for inviting Maria and Will Bales of BTR Clothing to speak to all of us.
Maria and Will lost their son Nick to suicide in 2016 when he was a sophomore at Arapahoe High School. Nick struggled with anxiety and depression and he started designing tshirts and hoodies and started BTR as a fun way to be creative, keep busy and stay grounded in reality. Following his death, his brand continues to grow as it boosts awareness to teen mental health. Every cent raised goes to the Nick Bales/BTR Foundation.. which has already paid for 138 therapy visits for teens who are struggling. Nick's Mom and Dad are determined to help as many teenagers and families as possible. They spoke so authentically to the crowd who gathered at the invitation of Jay on Saturday night.. and the connection here, is that Nick was a part-time valet for Jay at the time of his death. I am so inspired by people and businesses who go out of their way to help others. Thank you Jay for all that you do!

If you know a teen who is struggling, contact the Nick Bales/BTR Foundation.

Exceptional day with the exceptional Judy Morley PhD. Judy is a leadership coach who relates lessons learned from the Battle of Gettysburg into motivational direction for current day leaders. For example.. the importance of listening, being present, having a vision and sharing that with others on your team, setting expectations, realizing conflict is inevitable and working through those challenges to achieve success for yourself, your team and your community.
Judy shared stories of courage and bravery among soldiers .. as well as stories of the teamwork of civilian women who stood up to help the injured and keep the community together after the tumultuous three days that were the turning point of the Civil War. I learned so much today & am inspired to weave Judy's insight into video stories for her business.

Sounds very interesting. I bet she would have a great following if she had videos on line.

Stories connect communities. Stories that highlight the good around us resonate with and engage people.

This is what can make a profound impact on community. I seek out and tell these stories.

My gift is my ability to listen. I will hear your words, connect with you, and identify what will ignite passion in others. Allow me to tell the story that needs to be told and be the legs it needs to journey far beyond the confines of your circle.
